Literate also offers a re-design service for customers who consider their website no longer represents their current market or has become dated or is simply one of those terrible websites that’s been built by a friend of a friend using a template driven off the shelf package.

Website component parts

Please do remember that there are 3 parts to having a website. Firstly there is the domain name; secondly, the hosting package; and finally, the website itself.

The domain name is the address of your website and allows people to find it on the internet either directly or through search engines.

The hosting package is where you lease part of a server on which your website is hosted (or stored). A server is simply a computer connected to the internet by very high speed connections running special software that accepts requests for particular website addresses and then delivers (or serves) that content to the computer making the request.  Please see our hosting page for more information on this aspect.
